Born in 1904 in the village of
Minarelikoy, Cyprus, he studied law
but did not have a professional arts education. The artist painted
mostly 'natur mort' and flowers. He was the first Turkish Cypriot painter
to participate in the arts exhibition (with 4 paintings) organised
by the founder of the English School of Nicosia, Cannon Newham, in
1928.
The artist also painted family portraits, and his paintings are now
mostly in private collections. Necati also participated in the 1961
Exhibition of Turkish-Cypriot Painters, in Nicosia. The artist died
in 1967.
