Born in Paphos (Baf), Cyprus in 1949, Güner Pir studied painting at Ankara Gazi Institute
from where he graduated. Upon his return to Cyprus, he held several exhibitions
and participated in mixed exhibitions.
Between 1972-1976 he received several
prizes for his paintings. In 1986, the artist attended te 1st Asia-Europe Arts
Bienalle in Istanbul. He currently teaches art in North Cyprus.
