THE CROWS NEST

No excursion to the elysian community of Karmi would be complete without visiting the Crows Nest. The owners run a charming traditional pub and restaurant, which because of its location, also serves as the very centre of the village. The atmosphere is cosy and intimate, with beams, arches, books and games, a fireplace and an open-plan kitchen. The dinner menu is varied and 
includes both Cypriot, Turkish, and continental cuisines. The Crows Nest is open every day between 12am - 3pm, and 7pm -12 midnight.Closed sunday evenings.

THE COURTYARD INN

Some years ago, two couples from Nottingham were so attracted to Northern Cyprus that they sold up and settled here permanently. Today Barbara, Jeff, Geraldine and Werner run one of the finest and most popular restaurants on the island. Inside, it's like being in a cozy country pub with a charming open-air and romantically lit walled courtyard, where you can try a variety of lunchtime bar snacks and mouth watering dishes for dinner. A typical four course meal with wine costs about UK£10, whilst on Sundays, there are superb roasts for just UK£6.

The Courtyard Inn is just off the coast road east of Kyrenia. It is modelled on a convivial English pub, but rises above expectations with an imaginative menu and a good selection of Turkish wines. Try a spinach and apricot börek with the house specialty of fillet stuffed with pate and prawns.

EFENDI'S HOUSE

The intimate Efendi's House, with its mouthwatering and constantly changing menu, derived 
from traditional French and Cypriot cuisine, is tucked away in one of the back streets of Kyrenia.
Lunch is served between 11.30am-14.30pm and dinner from 7.30pm. Reservations are advised; 
prices start from UK£ 15 for a set menu with wine.

Güler's Fish Restaurant

Güler's is just west off the main road west of Kyrenia, beside the well- signposted Serif Hotel Apartments, but with a good position on the edge of a broad cove and directly above a 50 m. strech of sand. Güler's is discreetly and locally esteemed and is somewhat considered to be able to serve the best fresh fish in Kyrenia.

THE LEMON TREE

The Lemon Tree restaurant is on a terrace above the coast road, about 4 miles (6.5 km) 
east of Kyrenia, near Çatalköy. It serves traditional Turkish-Cypriot food, a selection cold 
vegetable meze, followed by hot stuffed pastries which concludes with a choice of grilled 
fish or meat. Your meal will be observed by ornamental fish that swim seemingly 
unconcerned by all the cooking in a large aquarium in the dining room.

THE LEVANT

MOUNTAIN HOUSE

Just half a mile from the Bellapais junction, the restaurant is set in a scenic spot with views 
of Kyrenia mountains. Mountain House serves mixed European and Turkish cuisine, with full mezes (hors d'oeuvres). It is open everyday except on Sundays. Open on Saturdays for lunch only.

Niazi's Restaurant & Bistro

Niazi's is right in the centre of Kyrenia and for around UK£5 a head for 4 courses, you can mingle with the locals and sample some of the best food on the island. 

Niazi's has been serving the local community for over 40 years! In addition to the various types of kebab, the restaurant also serves superb steaks -and, for a little extra atmosphere, all the grilling is done by the chef in the centre of the restaurant over charcoal-filled braziers beneath a huge copper canopy. For dessert, you can choose from a tempting selection of traditional sweets from a self-service buffet.

traditional old Ottoman House, and one can certainly feel the old Ottoman charm of the

SET ITALIAN RESTAURANT

The restaurant is tucked away in the streets behind the Kyrenia harbour and is best 
approached from the Cafer Agha mosque. The small courtyard garden, dominated by 
a swaggering staircase, is a perfect setting for a candle-lit dinner. The food is 
recognizably Italian, but not distinguished. Pick simple dishes, and lots of wine.

ST KATHLEEN RESTAURANT

The St. Kathleen Restaurant is on the west end of the Turtle Beach, 18 km. east of Kyrenia. 
The reclusive roadhouse exterior of the restaurant belies its warm chatty interior. The house
